MIA Once Again…

I got a call yesterday about lunch time from my friend Dale in Albuquerque.  He was calling to make sure I was okay.  He was worried about me.  I have not posted anything in a while, although I have started a few but shelved them without finishing them.

This is summer and it is my busy season.  I work for a company that manufactures school furniture.  The company ships about 60% to 70% of its year’s production in June, July and August.  This is also the time of year of our highest order volume.  Blah, Blah, Blah!

All of the above is BS.  Basically what is going on is that I am lazy.  My mindset these days is somewhere between doing my job and retirement.  I love what I do and I enjoy what I do, but in the back of my mind is the fact I am now 221 days from full Social Security and the possibility The Nancy and I might be able, with a little luck, to live off of my reduced pension, since my company froze its retirement program back in 2003 and won’t live up to the promise made to me in 2001 of half my income at retirement (but I am not bitter about it after twenty-seven years of kissing ass and working hard).  It will be a stretch.  It is more than likely I will continue to work and draw SS plus a full salary for at least another year, maybe more if the Great White Leader of this corporation gives up some M-O-N-E-Y in the form of increased salary.  As for The Nancy, she may never quit working.  She enjoys her job very much, and besides, she may need to support me when I am not working.  Then again, all of this may be Bullshit and I may just be really busy with my job.

All that is all I have to say about that…
