How Smart amd I?

I was scanning Facebook this morning when I came upon post from a friend with a short IQ test attached to it.  So, being the brainiac that I am, I took the test.  Result: 120.  And that, my friends, put me in the “Above Average” Category, to which I got a chuckle.

This particular test consisted of 20 questions.  Some were simple words problems.  Others showed a series of numbers or shapes and asked which number or shape – A, B, C, D, E or F - was next in the series.  Being the brilliant, critical thinker that I am, I guessed at the answers to those questions I did not have any idea how to answer.  End result, I scored an IQ of 120.  Sincerely, I was hoping to be instantly admitted into Mensa, but I have received no call or email thus far.  Apparently, one needs at least a 132 to be considered. Oh well!
Does it do me any good to know my IQ?  Should I really care at this juncture of my life?

I have told people once that in a conversation with my dear-departed mother many years ago, when she said to me, “David, I just don’t know what it is with you.  Is it ignorance or apathy?”  My reply to her and to the questions I asked above, “I don’t know and I don’t care.”

And that is all I have to say about that…
